The food was really good. Plenty of parking, good prices, & excellent service. They also have a vegetable option for the broth.
Perfect Ramen!!!!Very nice stuff very clean place smells awesome and the taste perfect!
Service was 2/5...one of the people in our party got their food close to five minutes after the rest of us which is unacceptable. The food was a 4/5 and the portions were nice and big. I got the kiyoto style ramen which was really good but some folks got theirs "spicy" and said the paste caused the soup to taste bitter.
This place used to be kinda good, though even in the last 4-5 years the service was meh, the food was good, but inconsistent, and the ambiance was wanting. Now they are doing a self serve thing, with long lines, less options, and there takeout situation is horrible. We used to get some decent containers, now they are using some cardboard container to put the noodles, etc and the soup in another container. By the time you get home the noodles are melted and stuck into the paper, and you cannot eat 1/4 of it, the paper is soggy, and the plastic bag you brought it home in is leaking juices and wet everywhere.I might try and come here one more time in a few months to see if things have changed before never coming back. My family has probably put in maybe 40-60 orders here over the years.
Great taste, generous portions.
Their spicy Kyoto style ramen is fantastic and continues to be the item of choice when my fiends and I come here. Seating and service are always fast, and the food is great every time. Highly recommended!
Recommended by my Japanese friend! Great choice of ramen closer to authentic Japanese flavor in Bay Area. Service is nice! And they have different flavors by areas. Will visit again definitely!
Ramen was not bad, ajitama was some between softboil and hardboil. Chashu was huge, do not order 3 pieces!
Broth is bland and has no flavor. I regret not waiting at Orenchi... This place is also way overpriced. I feel bad for the place as it's pretty empty. If you just want some soup then this place might hit the spot
The variety of soups were amazing. But they cut off like everything from the menu. Definitely won't be back unless they change it back.
The biggest and tastiest selection of vegetarian ramen I have ever found. My go to place. Also, the eggs are perfectly soft boiled, with just a tad of liquid in the middle, and a deep orange color.
Miss the old menu, but still awesome.
Very salty and doesn't taste good. I couldn't understand how it get 4 star rating.
Don’t know why people stand in long lines when there’s a perfectly good alternative right across the street. The ramen has a little too much noodles in my opinion, but that’s preference.Update Jan 2020: got one of their three vegan ramens (the green): and it was surprisingly very good! The broth is nice and thick (which is usually the problem with vegetarian ramens) and noodles and firm and chewy. I usually don't eat the whole bowl or ramen but I killed it! Gotta try the other two now too. Also- this place changed since I been here... you now have to order up front before sitting down. Did they downsize their staff? Makes sense since they hardly have any customers... why though?
Very nice service, very good ramen
Fragrant chasiu.
Very mediocre ramen. Would not recommend. Broth was very one dimensional - salty. Friend got the winter special, with butter and cheese, it was very bad in their opinion. The ramen also took ~20 mins to arrive. The only good part was the noodles, which had decent texture.
We were there on a Tuesday evening. The soup tasted too salty. Service was very good.
This place serves good ramen consistently. I love the noodle's texture, not too soft and not too hard. Soup base is really flavorful. The best part is the chashu (braised port belly), it's thick, has a beautiful grill mark on it, every bite is so heartwarming and satisfying. For $15, the price is a little steep, but I only come here once in a while, and I think it's totally worth it
Very nice Ramen place! I really enjoyed the food. Wish they had Asahi on the menu, only Sapporo. The waiters are kinda unfriendly, and inattentive which made us sit around longer than I felt we should have. Also, they messed up our order a bit. Overall, I recommend a trip!
Great ramen; quarter ply toilet paperSeriously, please don't be so cheap with toilet paper. It dissolves in open air it's so thin. Shameful.
Our starved, ramen-craving group came across Misoya after deciding to ditch the 2 hr wait at Orenchi Ramen across the street. We were seated, served, and fed in lightning speed. The ramen itself wasn't anything special, but the warm, rich soup definitely hit the spot for me. I ordered one of the specials (with mushroom add-on). The broth was slightly lacking in depth, but the noodles were well cooked, and the serving of extra mushrooms were super generous. We were all stuffed full for $15, great value!
There were times that I went here for 2 consecutive days and once a week for a month. Really good miso ramen options, sometimes a little salty. Generous portions.
Great ramen with selection of miso type. I don't think potetoes are usually not in miso ramen but it was okay. No much wait so that's a good point.
One of my favorite places before, but they just cut most of their menu. No idea why. The variety was one of the best parts of this place. Sadly I'm not sure how often I'll come here now.
Ramen is still good, they rebranded/reimagined their menu. No longer a traditional Japanese sit down restaurant. More of a fast food style ramen place
Great food and service. The roast pork was delicious and all the different Miso bases had distinctive tastes.
It's a pretty good ramen place that specializes in miso broth. The Ise miso ramens are really unique and worth a try!
MisoYEAH now Misomeh. They got rid of all their good options, raised prices, and made it more quick service. Been going for years and really sad to see the changes. Hokkaido broth is still delicious, kaarage is still good, but downgrading when we'll be back based off lack of options.I see they want to compete with other ramen joints but the sheer amount of options is what set Misoya apart.
Truly my love. Rich taste, juicy pork. Don't miss it
Flavorful ramen and healthy portions. Fast service, too!
A solid ramen shop, with shorter lines than the insanity across the street at orenchi. Well worth saving an hour to eat here instead. Good noodles, decent broth, and some of my favorite chashu of any ramen place i've been to. The chashu is thick cut and flame grilled, giving it a little bit of nice char. It's what keeps me coming back. That, and the lack of insane lines. Of course, you better like miso based broth, as that's all they have, but I find places that specialize tend to be better at the few things they do have. A good place to come when you want some ramen at the last minute and don't want to wait for orenchi or santouka.
Amazing spicy tonkotsu ramen and amazing customer service. Will definitely be returning to try all of their dishes 👌👌
So much ramen selection. Love the ramen and the customer service is superb
Lots of ramen choices, but the ramen wasn't anything to write home about. Place was pretty empty, but service was spotty. Food came out quickly and was reasonably priced.
The Ramen here is "Average". The noodles and most of the topings were average to good, but the Chosu pork meat was HARD and flavorless. The cooked potatoes were cold and flavorless as well. They ruined the flavor of the broth for me. The broth wasn't really that good either. I usually down it all if I like the broth, but it just made me feel like I could have had better with many of the instant ramens on the market. Very disappointing. I had the 16.99 meat special. There was nothing special about it.
It was the best ramen I've had in my life so far! 5/5 review for this delicacy.
Come here just for the BBQ cha shu!
Having dined at Misoya both before and after the change, I feel that the changes made were not for the better. I feel that the sit down dining experience before was preferable. Additionally, it appears that their menu has shrunk and there are somewhat less options than there was before. Despite the changes, their broth remains as flavorful and rich as it was before. If it's your first time dining at Misoya I believe you will still enjoy the ramen. However, for those of us who loved the way Misoya was before, be prepared that you may find yourself slightly disappointed. Overall, despite the changes, I still found it a worthwhile restaurant.
Superb atmosphere and super affable service. The food was crisp and delightful. Will easily recommend this place to friends. Affordable prices and large meals. Great job.
Good that they have vegetarian options without needing to ask a lot of questions or customizing a lot but I found the Hokkaido style veggie ramen a bit too salty and it had no protein at all.
Very good Ramen for a reasonable price.
This place has been a frequent stop for my family over the past several years. Always friendly and helpful staff and some amazing Ramen from different regions of Japan. They even have delicious curry dishes if that's more up your alley.
I tried Nagoya style shrimp ramen, it is a little bit salty but still tasty. Karaage is yummy, and the ramen are great.
The best ramen I've ever had. Good prices to.
It's meat, noodles, broth... It's all delicious
It’s now a half-self-service restaurant. I don’t quite like the change. Spicy Rame is a bit salty. And it seems to me that we have less choices of Ramen than before.
The Hokkaido is recommended. The Nogoya's broth was rather heavy and on the salty side.Their base offering includes a variety of veggies and a special item that depends on the choice of broth. Doesn't come with an egg by default.Cha shu pork slices can be optionally added. Each slice is generously sized - you get your money's worth.
2020 Review: 2 starsI'm changing my review from 5 to 2. Unfortunately, after years of going to Misoya (easily over 20 times) we've stopped going after three bad incidents in a row. Prices have increased (close to $20 per bowl) but services and quality have decreased. 2018 Review: (5 stars)This is our goto ramen place :-)
Their fried chicken is really good. Crispy and juicy. They have all kinds of miso ramen from different cities in Japan. The pork is just okay. I like noodle and soup!
